Environmental improvement project in the main urban area of Dianbai District, Maoming City
◎Greened area: 18KM of greened roads, 70,000㎡ in area
◎Completion time: April 2024
◎Products used: Scatter spray heads, solenoid valves, Rain Bird decoder, supporting decoder controller panel sets (200 stations, 3 sets; 125 stations, 1 set; and 50 stations, 1 set), controller host, and dual-core control cables, etc.
◎Project Overview:
This project's main roads include Yingbin Avenue/Haibin Avenue/Dianbai Avenue, totaling approximately 18 kilometers of greened roads. This is also Maoming City's first pilot project to adopt fully automatic sprinkler systems.
◎Project Challenges:
To avoid spraying onto the roads, the selection of scatter spray nozzles was quite challenging. Due to the road's length, the selection of control cables was also crucial.
◎Solutions:
To address the issue of spraying onto roads, we used short-range 0.8-1.2 meter 180-degree spray models in combination with strip (rectangular) nozzles.
Considering the long road length, we adopted the 'Yuanda irrigation brand dual-core control cable' known for its superior quality and signal transmission. This was combined with Rain Bird single-station decoders and Rain Bird decoder controller hosts for timed automatic control of sprinkler operation. This system, further enhanced with a Rain Bird rain sensor, stops sprinkling during rain, conserving water resources and reducing labor costs for irrigation.
