How to perform daily maintenance and upkeep for an automatic irrigation system?

The automatic control system for the irrigation system mainly includes solenoid valves, AC controllers, DC remote controllers, remote controllers, rain sensors, anemometers, etc.

The solenoid valve is a major component of the automatic control system. Its structure is different from ordinary valves. When in use, the water inside is not easily completely drained, which easily causes freezing in winter.

Therefore, in order to ensure the normal use of the irrigation system in spring, in areas with severe winter frost damage, it is necessary to remove the upper valve body of the solenoid valve after the pipeline is drained and wipe the remaining water inside the solenoid valve with a clean towel.

When the system is in use, if it cannot be opened or closed normally, first check whether the control line connection is smooth, and then remove the electromagnetic head to check whether the electromagnetic head is well engaged. If it still cannot be used normally, remove the upper valve body of the solenoid valve and check whether there are any foreign objects inside the solenoid valve. After eliminating the above situations, it can usually be used normally.

For AC/DC controllers and remote controllers, when not in use for a long time, the internal batteries should be removed to prevent battery expiration or leakage of liquid inside the battery, which may lead to poor battery contact in the controller and inability to use it for normal control. Rain sensors, anemometers, etc. should be regularly checked to ensure that the connecting wires are intact and the wind cups rotate flexibly.
